The Yale School of Art offers Universal Systems ILS 12.150D laser cutter with a 24” by 48” bed for use by Yale School of Art graduate students.

Access
- Access is for Yale School of Art graduate students only.
- MFA students must complete the required training (video and in-person) to use the laser cutter.
- A trained monitor or the lab manager must be present. Do not work alone.
- No after-hours or weekend use.
- Sign up to use the lab using the Laser Lab Signup Sheet. (Google Sheet)

Training
- In-person trainings are held once a year at the start of the fall semester.
- All video trainings must be completed before attending in-person training.
- Access video trainings and sign up for in-person training via the Digital Media Graduate Labs Hub.
Material Safety
- Only wood, acrylic, paper, and cardboard are pre-approved.
- All other materials need to be pre-approved by [email protected].
- All materials must come with an SDS Sheet.
