All events are tagged and filterable by:
Event type, such as VA lecture, MFA crit, etc., where applicable.
Host department within the School of Art, with external events in gray throughout.
Audience, as in who can attend which event, the expanding levels of which include: a department’s faculty only, the department only, incoming and/or returning students, the School of Art community, the Yale community, or the public.

Departmental events are managed by Senior Administrative Assistant Carole Amarakoon and imported via Google calendar feeds organized by event type:

One-on-one visits with the department’s Visiting Artists.

All-School, public, and undergraduate events open to the School of Art community are managed by Assistant Director of Communications Lindsey Mancini and imported via the calendaring software integrating these calendars, and are organized by event host.
These are the events listed on the SoA Community Calendar, and feeds include:
School of Art community-wide dates & events, including:
The academic calendar
Interdisciplinary graduate seminars and workshops open to all MFA students
Public and All-School lectures and events
All-School Town Halls and Community Meetings
Departmental events and events hosted by graduate and undergraduate courses that are open to the School of Art community
Deadlines for registration and commencement awards
Shop & lab trainings and deadlines
University events, and other related events at Yale and in New Haven, including:
Events in architecture, art history, and other schools, departments, or groups that have a Yale affiliation
Local arts events in New Haven

Promote your work on the @yaleschoolofart Instagram
All MFA students are invited to contribute to the School of Art’s official Instagram @yaleschoolofart by submitting images and videos to #spottedatSoA.
In the time of COVID, #spottedatSoA has expanded to include any image that relates to the work you’re undertaking here at the School (whether that’s on-campus or off).

Calendaring credits
The departmental events in this calendar are maintained by Senior Administrative Assistant Carole Amarakoon. The All-School, public, undergraduate, Yale, New Haven, & related events are managed by Assistant Director of Communications Lindsey Mancini.
Beginning with the fall 2020 semester, the Yale School of Art’s internal, departmental, community, as well as public events calendars are powered by the platform Event Calendar App.
MFA Photo students should feel to update this page’s background as they see fit!
