The Edgewood Shops are open to trained graduate students in the School of Art and trained undergraduates currently enrolled in sculpture classes during open hours.
After completing basic safety training, students may seek additional skill-building or project consultations with staff by appointment. Contact fabshop@yale.edu to schedule.

Thursday: 10 AM - 1 PM, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Saturdays: 10 AM - 5PM

November Break Hours
Open regular hours November 23-26, closed November 27-30, open with special hours (1-9PM) on Sunday, December 1st. Regular hours resume December 2nd.
Winter Break Hours The shop will close for the semester at 8:30pm on December 19th and reopen with normal hours starting at 10am on January 3rd.

Metal and wood shops are located at 36 Edgewood Avenue (ground floor, room 110) as well as a satellite assembly shop at 353 Crown Street.
The Edgewood Fabrication shop conducts training during graduate orientation in the fall. There are separate trainings offered in the wood and metal areas. Only students and faculty who have been trained may use the shops.
Once you have received training, shop use is first-come, first-served during open hours. Come prepared to work in appropriate shop dress and safety glasses as outlined in training, and budget time for a conversation with a shop tech or supervisor prior to attempting a new process.
