Hope & Glory November

1) Hope autographs/inscriptions on recent publications are not done in invisible ink this evening.

2) Hope offer on SW Harbor manse is accepted; hope to grow morning glories there in our dotage and finally get to sail a Dyer dinghy albeit Penobscot pretty damn cold water.

3) Glorious for Dec: 11 Dec. Thomas More concert in New Haven; 23 January same conductor returns to Yale our old neighbor Simon Carrington.

4) Allegory Glory: 20 Jan 2010: Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610, in NYC. Check the Parthenia website: http://www.jamesarts.com/releases/sept09/PARTH_nws_090209.pdf. Be there.

More in December (as I mentioned).

Stacey McG. Gemmill, Director, Financial Affairs & Admin.

Stacey McGlone Gemmill assists with reading, writing and arithmetic. Her BA is from Sarah Lawrence College ‘72, via Wells, Manhattanville Sacred Heart and Yale College. It was received when things like Old Norse and Soviet History were necessary; they still relevant? When not sailing on Mars (J32) with her husband John Henry Gemmill (Yale ’ 65, an architect), out of their Noank Shipyard mooring, they herd three Maine coon cats and entertain friends at Moose Hall. Of this staff member, some presence has also been documented in Franklin, Maine and on MDI but it’s safer for the general public if she remains at work to which she commutes in her 2007 Mini Cooper S Clubman (replacing her original Mini S of 2005); this chariot allows her to carry more books, shrubs, friends etc. The big non-desk project is a move of the Yale Sculpture department from majestic, indefatigable Hammond Hall to the new building between Park & Edgewood, a quick block from HQ/Green Hall and 353 Crown. Yes, Stacey will miss the old building. Tours of new shall begin Spring 2009.
