Michael Rock, Graphic Designer

Mr. Rock received a B.A. in humanities from Union College in 1981 and an M.F.A. in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1983. From 1984 to 1991 he served on the graphic design faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently a partner in the graphic design studio 2×4. His articles and essays on design and visual culture appear in magazines and journals internationally. In 1999 he received the Rome Prize in design from the American Academy in Rome. Mr. Rock was appointed to the graphic design faculty in 1991 and currently holds the rank of associate professor (adjunct).
