MEETING 2 NOTES

What is the next step in this process?

Individual and group goals

Samantha: Developing site architecture. Experience of working on web.

Rob: Learning new programing language (RUBY). Collaboration.

Sebastian: Learning Ruby. Exploring participation architecture.

Romy: Experience of working on web.

Eric N: ?

Andrew: Learning Ruby. Exploring participation architecture.

Group:
- document the process of making an exhibition online.
- how can the website operate as part of the exhibition and not just as collateral

Some questions based on themes

1. TIME and PEOPLE

- Date stamp can be the backbone of the site
- Reveal the process of making the site through time
- Incorporate a newsfeed to acknowledge the moment and culture i.e. NY Times feed on site based on individual preferences
- Student community vs. larger community
- We should differentiate between the two
- We assign different roles to different users
- How much transparency?
- How much of our work do we want to share? Distribute? Circulate?
- Possibilities: downloads, webcam, forum
- Can anyone alter the site? and change each interaction thereafter? (how to treat revisions)\\

gift as a type of module
work as a type of module
writing as a type of module
knowledge as a type of module\\

2. PARTS VS. WHOLE (Group vs. Individual)

- Only the most recent is immediately revealed. - Constructed in parts, in real-time
Use of white space to segment vs. create a cohesive whole
- Dynamic content vs. static

4. TEXT vs. IMAGE
+ primary navigation â?? orient through both type and image.\\

Goal for next week

List Potential Content
