The resident faculty and visiting faculty in 2010 included Nicole Awai, Susan Cahan, Johannes DeYoung, Chie Fueki, Josephine Halvorson, Mary Reid Kelley, Michaela Murphy, John Lehr, Josh Marsh, Sam Messer (Director), Norm Paris and Robert Storr.

The resident faculty and visiting faculty in 2008 included Sam Messer (Director), Daphne Fitzpatrick, John Lehr, Sarah Lewis, Norm Paris, Jonathan Safran Foer, Julian Lethbridge, Wangechi Mutu, Robert Storr, and Traci Tullius.

We ask you to nominate candidates who you believe to be the strongest young artists in their current state of development, who exhibit the greatest feel for and command of their medium – in painting, drawing or in three dimensions – and who show the greatest curiosity both about the history art and about art making now. While painting has traditionally been the focus of the program at Yale/Norfolk and sculpture and mixed media work are also possible, all students are required to participate in classes in digital photography and printmaking. - Robert Storr, Dean Yale School of Art

Students are nominated through their Universities. Any University or college seeking to nominate students please contact Patricia.Dechiara@yale.edu
