Daniel Bozhkov, Artist
Mr. Bozhkov has a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, and an M.F.A. from Hunter College, CUNY. He is a recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Andy Warhol Foundation. He has exhibited nationally and internationally in group exhibitions at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, New York; Sculpture Center, New York; Santa Monica Museum of Art; Arthouse, Austin; Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati; the 1st Biennale of contemporary art in Moscow; the 9th International Istanbul Biennale in Turkey; the 9th Baltic Triennial in Vilnius, Lithuania; Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, U.K.; and O.K. Centrum für Gegenwartskunst, Linz, Austria. He has had solo exhibitions at Andrew Kreps Gallery in New York City, which represents his work. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of the Arts, Rhode Island School of Design, and Cooper Union. Mr. Bozhkov was appointed critic in painting/printmaking in 2004.
