Art 961b, Parallel Practice
C106 Green Thurs 2:00-5:00

This seminar is designed to help graduate students refine their writing skills and develop a greater understanding of how the use of language relates to their studio practice and their development as professional artists. In bi-weekly workshops, students create, distribute, read aloud, and discuss their own writing in whatever form it takes: statements, reviews, manifestos, lists, publicity, poetry, fiction, autobiographical sketches, or scripts. Published writings by established artists are also read and discussed. Limited enrollment; open to all M.F.A. students. Meets six times for 1.5 credits: 1/26, 2/9, 2/23, 3/22, 4/5, 4/19. Rick Moody
