A yearlong project of creative work formulated and executed by the student under the supervision of faculty and an adviser designated in accordance with the direction of the student’s interest. Proposals for senior projects are submitted to the School of Art Undergraduate Studies Committee (USC) for review and approval at the beginning of the academic year. The fall term is spent working on preparation and physical making of preliminary pieces, while the spring term is spent honing the pieces. Weekly seminar meetings are held throughout the year. Projects are reviewed and graded by an interdisciplinary committee of members of the School of Art faculty and a guest critic. A public exhibition of selected work created in the project is expected of each student. Enrollment limited to senior art majors. Lisa Kereszi and Henk van Assen
