402B ADVANCED PHOTOGRAPHY

A course intended for those wishing to explore intensely the practice of photography, whether analog or digital. The class is structured around individual projects, editing, and output size.Through the history of photography and films, discussions will center on the potentials of black and white photography, color photography, and the assimilation of the two. Discussions will also concern what makes now a vital time in photography through lectures, library, gallery and museum visits. Students who were considering the spring section of Color Photography are encouraged to enroll. Materials fee: $150. Prerequisites: Art 377a or 379b or equivalent, and, for those working digitally, Art 138a. _Required for art majors concentrating in photography. Lisa Kereszi
