Anna Bokov, Architect and Designer
Ms. Bokov received her B.Arch. from Syracuse University in 1998 and her M.Arch. from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2004. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Yale University, where she was a recipient of the Mellon Graduate Fellowship in 2014. Her dissertation focuses on the experimental architectural methodology developed at the VKhUTEMAS School in Moscow between 1920 and 1930. Ms. Bokov taught at the Moscow Architectural Institute and at Northeastern University School of Architecture in Boston. She was an editor of the Project Russia magazine, a leading architectural periodical in Russia. She curated exhibitions at the Venice Biennale (2014), Moscow Architectural Biennale and at the Schusev Museum of Architecture. She has worked as an architect and urban designer at NBBJ in Moscow and Columbus, Ohio; City of Somerville/Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development in Somerville, Massachusetts; Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam; Gluckman Mayner Architects and Polshek Partnership/Ennead in New York. Ms. Bokov was appointed critic in graphic design at Yale in 2015.
